Frost Ice Bar Slated For Boston Opening, Spring 2013

Frost Ice Bar, the first of its kind in New England, has announced plans for a grand opening at Faneuil Hall in spring 2013.

Ice bars and ice hotels have captivated the imaginations of adventurous travelers and fun-seekers around the globe. From remote locations in Norway, Alaska and Sweden, to some of the world's most cosmopolitan urban centers such as London, Tokyo and St. Petersburg, Frost Ice Bar now adds Boston to this exclusive list of cutting-edge cities.

"While Boston is traditionally defined by its history and heritage, the City is today brimming with a new energy that supports a trendsetting dining and nightlife scene," stated Frost Group CEO Cindy Brown. "Ice bars around the world have proven to be sensationally popular among a broad range of audiences and we believe Frost Ice Bar will be equally well received in New England. We're thrilled to play a part in further promoting the City as a leader in world-class entertainment and hospitality."

The concept for a year-round Boston ice attraction is spearheaded by Frost Group in collaboration with the team behind Boston Duck Tours, drawing upon their nearly 20 years of expertise designing whimsically creative guest experiences that are fun for all ages. Frost Ice Bar being no exception, the venue will be constructed and furnished entirely of ice, featuring a constant indoor temperature of 24 degrees Fahrenheit.

Frost Ice Bar will feature dramatic ice-sculpted interiors perfectly suited to any number of social occasions from an unforgettable and invigorating night on the town with friends, to bachelor/ette parties, family outings, or corporate gatherings. Welcoming guests of all ages, Frost Ice Bar will present ever-changing offerings of specialty beverages, music and décor.
